Let’s talk

Privacy policy

We collect very little, so this page is short: what happens when you write to us, how we count visits, and your rights.

Who we are

FLAMBOYANT FLAMINGOS SRL, trading as Flamboyant Flamingos, is responsible for your data on this site.

Trade register no.
J08/3362/2017
CUI
38631092

We have no data protection officer; write to [email protected] about anything to do with your data.

When you write to us

The contact form asks for your name, your message and your email; we need all three to reply. The line about your project is optional.

We use them to answer you and, if we work together, to prepare a quote. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) and, once you ask for a proposal, steps you’ve requested before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)). Emails you send us directly are treated the same way.

Please leave health, financial and other sensitive details out of your message.

We keep enquiries and our replies for 24 months from our last contact, then delete them. If we work together, we keep contracts and invoices as long as the law requires.

No one else gets your data unless the law requires it. We don’t sell it or use it to make automated decisions about you.

When you visit the site

The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics script in your browser. The only thing it keeps there is what it needs to work for you, such as the draft of a message you are writing, so it is still there if you close the form. It stays in that browser tab and is gone when you close it.

We count visits on our own server. For each page you view, it sends our analytics provider, PostHog, three things: the page, the site or campaign that sent you, and your country. Your IP address is used only to find the country and to make a visitor count that changes every day, then discarded. Neither we nor PostHog can identify you from what is left. We keep these counts only as long as they help us improve the site.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f)). You can object by emailing us.

Our host keeps basic server logs (IP address, time, page requested) for a short time, to keep the site running and secure.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or send it to you or another company in a common format. You can also object to anything we do on the basis of our legitimate interest.

Email [email protected]. We reply within one month and may first ask you to confirm who you are.

Complaints

You can complain to the Romanian supervisory authority:

The National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP)
Bulevardul General Gheorghe Magheru 28–30, Sector 1, 010336 Bucharest, Romania
www.dataprotection.ro

Elsewhere in the EU, you can go to your own country’s authority. From the UK, the UK GDPR also applies, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

We’d like the chance to put things right, so please tell us too.

Changes

If what we do with your data changes, we’ll update this page and the date below.
