The brief
Alex Nedea is one of Romania’s best-known investigative journalists, at Recorder, an independent non-profit outlet. His work exposes corruption and gives space to the country’s honest people. He wanted a blog of his own that puts his subjects first and reads well for every generation, on the phone and the desktop.
What we made
Each article opens with its headline and a summary set almost as large, before the first photograph. The date, the comment count and the reading time share one line underneath. Readers switch between light and dark mode from the header on any page, and an investigation can carry its own material, such as an interactive map.
The work
From the client
When Octavian worked on my website, I saw the same passion I bring to an investigation.
He lives for his craft. I’m thrilled that there are still people like this in this country, experienced individuals who do their work with genuine enthusiasm, rather than with the sour, sullen attitude of a clerk at the tax office.
